New Pup and other news

After a busy summer of travels, swim lessons, riding lessons and the return of Bruce from Iraq, we are now trying to mesh out a back-to-school routine. We also brought home a new puppy this summer. Echo is now almost 6 months old. She's a black lab/golden retriever mix and is simply a joy to have. Very calm in the house and not too overly excitable with all the kids in the neighborhood. Ringer, our 13 year old cat that we acquired 3 years ago has been diagnosed with chronic renal failure but she's showing remarkable improvement with her new diet and meds.Lolo started 1st grade this year. She doesn't like it as much as she liked kindergarten she does like math. Hates PE: "All we do is jog! It makes me sooooo tired!"
Well it took 3 years and 2 tries but we've found another amazing family dog. Echo loves frisbees, long naps by the front door and chasing fireflies.

Bruce is filling in for the commander at the squadron right now. The mandatory Blackberry is his constant confounding companion. As for me, I'm still the storytime lady at the library and I'm heading up the music team for PWOC this year. Also helping out with squadron stuff but that's about it. Lolo is a blast and I love the afternoons when she comes home from school and her friends come over for crafts or to play on the porch or in the yard. Her reading is really coming along. Now we have to work on spelling. Oh! Lolo lost 4 teeth the other day. I'll try to get a picture this weekend. We're also heading out to the cider mill...They have the best cider donuts.
Later...
