Oh, the weather outside is stormy......Nothing like a Tornado Watch on Christmas Day and 60 mph gusts of wind. We must be in Georgia! Unfortunately, Bruce is braving gusts of a more sandy nature in lovely Iraq, a popular Christmas vacation spot for heroes these days. Lolo is enjoying an Indian Jones-themed Christmas this year thanks to Daddy. She is also enjoying Legos and accessories for her American Girl Doll Felicity. We have been fighting viruses for a week now but are feeling a bit better today although we are still not completely up to par. Gramma Wolfe has also dropped in for a brief holiday visit but soon will need to return to her very vocal little feline family in Athens. Echo has spent the morning chasing squirrels and getting wrapped around trees in the yard (in between wind gusts and rainstorms) Off to chill out on the wii with the Lo-ster. Merry Christmas!
Tamara's idea of a storytime chair! The Barefoot Books corner at FAO Swartz was amazing!! So was Tamara's bill for the books she bought.
The drive to and from Syracuse was adventurous--normal for January at Tug Hill Plateau
Amtrak Rocked! Forget airplanes or driving...we're all for the train.
Remains of WTC--click picture to enlarge--worth reading
The Apple computer store next to FAO Swartz
Inside! ToysrUS--Lolo's in the Potato Head car
Lolo in front of Apple store--heading to FAO Swartz
Times Square
Tamara could walk around all day just taking pictures of streetlife.
Grand Central Station
So many amazingly tall skyscrapers! We felt like ants.
Preparing for a day of sightseeing before switching hotels. Had a few unwanted visitors in the night. See picture below:
Not good. 3 brave little mice (that we saw) called our hotel room home. This was a sealed emergency granola bar tucked away in the bottom of a backpack. Call us for the rest of the story...
