North Country Thanksgiving

As is often the case up here in Winter, our carefully tweaked plans were re-arranged as a lake effect storm rained down on Thanksgiving Day. Bruce's Mom, Kathy, was up from Georgia and was certainly given a good dose of frosty weather to tide her over for the season.

Since we were unable to go to our friends the Biolsi's for dinner (where the turkey awaited us) Tamara hastily thawed a couple of cornish hens for dinner. Those, along with southern cornbread dressing, spiced cranberries, corn and sourcream muffins topped off by pecan pie proved to be quite sufficient. Afterwards, Lolo, Bruce and Echo worked off the meal by sledding while Tamara trudged around and took photos. Kathy wisely stayed indoors by the fire as the snow literally poured down on us during the last run causing Tamara to swiftly hide her camera inside her fleece vest.

Following are other photos from Kathy's visit that seem to speak for themselves.
